Der Entwicklungsbereich von BMW AG hat sich dafür entschieden, die Standard Konfiguration von Top-Logic™ dazu zu verwenden, eine Planung, Priorisierung und unterjährige Steuerung des Portfolios für Optimierungsprojekte durchzuführen.
Im April 2018 ist die Pilotierung gestartet, die auf 3 Monate ausgelegt ist.

Der Verantwortliche für die Produktbasisentwicklung präsentiert mit den Worten „Ein Quantensprung in der Entwicklung von Top-Logic™“ die Vorstellung des langangekündigten Produkt Updates, das ab sofort für die Entwicklungs- und Projektpartner von BOS zur Verwendung bereitsteht.
Im Fokus der Entwicklung der neuen Produktversion, in die BOS mehrere Personenjahre investiert hat, standen die Themen „bessere Befähigung der Entwicklungspartner“, „dynamische Erweiterung des Objektmodells“ und „typisierte Konfigurationsfunktionen“.
Die neue Produktversion wurde bereits dem mit der BOS verbundenen Kooperationspartner ASCon Sytems zur Verfügung gestellt und als Basis für die Entwicklung von neuen Anwendungen für Audi, BMW AG und Volkswagen AG verwendet.
With the words „A quantum leap in the development of Top-Logic™“, the person responsible for product base development presents the introduction of the long-announced product update that is now available for use by BOS development and project partners.
The development of the new product version, in which BOS has invested several man-years, focused on the topics „better qualification of development partners“, „dynamic extension of the object model“ and „standardized configuration functions“.
The new product version has already been made available to ASCon Systems, a cooperation partner of BOS, and has been used as the basis for the development of new applications for Audi, BMW AG and Volkswagen AG.
Anfang September ist das Release PMC 3.0 von BMW erfolgreich in Betrieb genommen worden. Die Berichtssystematik wurde neu implementiert, so dass nun unter Verwendung eines Berichtsalgorithmus die Berichte für die Projekt- und Zielsteuerung sowie die ad hoc Auswertungen berechnet werden. Anwender bezeichnen das Release als „das beste PMC, das wir je hatten“. Dadurch, dass nun Berichte und Auswertungen stets vom Nullpunkt berechnet werden, konnte die Geschwindigkeit zur Berechnung der Berichte entlang der Projektstrukturen „dramatisch“ gesteigert werden. Online Berichtsfähigkeit ohne Wartezeiten sowie Verlässlichkeit und Konsistenz der in PMC berechneten Informationen aus dem BEST Systemverbund führen dazu, dass in Meetings und Gremienterminen die steuerungsrelevanten Themen besprochen und entschieden werden können.
PMC 3. 0 – Für alle, die mehr Flexibilität bei der Steuerung wollen, ohne auf Sicherheit zu verzichten.
At the beginning of September, BMW released PMC 3.0 was successfully put into operation. The reporting system has been reimplemented so that the project and target control reports as well as ad hoc evaluations are now calculated using a reporting algorithm. Users refer to the release as „the best PMC we’ve ever had.“ By always calculating reports and evaluations from zero, the speed for calculating the reports along the project structures has „dramatically“ increased. Online reporting capability without waiting times as well as reliability and consistency of the information calculated in PMC from the BEST system network mean that the control-relevant topics can be discussed and decided in meetings and panel appointments.

Im Februar 2016 wurde BMW die Erweiterung von PMC um eine Mobile Anwendung bereitgestellt. Die aus der Onlineversion bekannten Auswertungen stehen nun auch in einer Cockpitdarstellung zur Verfügung. Da PMC Mobile keine zusätzliche Hard- und Software benötigt, konnte die Einführung im Rahmen eines Regel-Deployments erfolgen.
In February 2016 a mobile application extension for PMC was released at BMW. The analyses known from the online version are now available in a cockpit view. As PMC Mobile does not require any additional soft- or hardware it could be introduced within the standard period deployment process.
Begründet in der Weiterentwicklung des Basis-Moduls Top-Logic™ erhielt PMC einen neuen fortschrittlichen Web-Auftritt. Durch die Modulumorganisation bei BMW waren umfangreiche Anpassungen zur Gewährleistung des hohen Qualitätsanspruches notwendig. Als Berichts- und Steuerungsinstrument erhielt PMC 2.2 Kennzahlen aus Qualitätstools und eine Anbindung an den Komponentenleitstand. Durch die M2-Delegation werden nun auch Kennzahlen der Unteraufträge im Delegationsziel angezeigt
A new and modern design for the PMC website was the consequence of the further development of the basic module Top-Logic™. The rearrangement of the BMW modul required substantial adaptations to guarantee the high quality standard. PMC 2.2, a reporting and controlling tool, was fed with key figures from quality management tools and linked to the component control centre. Key figures of sub-orders are now shown in the delegation target as a result of the M2-delegation.
