HOW TOPLOGIC WORKS

TopLogic is a development and runtime environment in one.

App development starts with the deployment of an executable application which can be enhanced and extended in an agile way using a description of the application model. Process specialists can use the NoCode method to describe the application InApp or with standard modeling tools. In addition, the TopLogic scripting language can be used to define individual function modules. When necessary, software developers use TopLogic Studio, the complete, Java-based development environment to implement application customization.

InApp Development of TopLogic Apps

The business application model is constantly at the center of development – from the very start. TopLogic libraries offer ready-made and proven business models. These can be applied directly and thus make it easier to get started with InApp development.

TopLogic includes graphical and tabular editors to create the application model. Furthermore, it is possible to import existing, externally created business models via standard interfaces, which TopLogic – the automated app engine uses for automatically generating applications. Business models can also be exported to be further developed in external tools and re-imported for the creation of new application versions.

In addition, TopLogic Script provides the ability to define complex logical expressions in business models.

Dynamically expand models

The application model of a TopLogic application can be dynamically expanded at any time within the runtime environment.

Adjustments to data and process models are subjected to consistency checks and can then be applied directly.

Boost agility with TopLogic – the automated app engine: Changes and extensions of the interface model are immediately visible after implementation and can be tested and used.

This approach immensely reinforces the advantages of agility in software projects.

No time need be spent on providing new software versions. Change scopes, and thus different versions of an application, can be compared and tested by selecting model versions.

Further development of the application model can be done InApp, as well as outside TopLogic. Simply export the model, modify it and reload it via the standard interface.

Keep track with graphical models

The application model is always displayed graphically within the application, serving quasi as a navigator for the scope and content of the TopLogic application.

Using the graphical and tabular editors, required attributes, types and relationships are organized as UML diagrams, and workflows as BPMN diagrams.

Existing models can be supplemented at runtime, even by logic modules. The modeler immediately sees the effects of his changes in the executable application without explicit creation of program code and without having to compile the application.
