Shortly before the Christmas holidays BOS organized a Top-Logic V7 Architecture Workshop with representatives of ASCon-Systems, Audi, BMW, HPE and Schäffler.
The first day of the workshop was dedicated to model-centric no-code application development. The participants were shown how to create applications with Top-Logic V7 and how the life cycle is supported.
The second day focused on using distributed models in Top-Logic application landscapes across applications and explained how 3rd party systems are integrated in this context. In this context, a live demo with 3 Top-Logic Apps and a third-party application connected via a Kafka bus was shown. At the end of the event our partner ASCon Systems presented industrial solutions based on Top-Logic.

The HPE DACH Organization, has invited representatives of Business Operation Systems to the HPE Discover More in Munich from December 3rd – 4th.In view of the seismic changes in IT, the future will shift limits of what is feasible more and more and lead to exciting business models and cooperations.
The event is therefore „the place to be“ for HPE’s customers and partners to get forward-looking insights at current use cases and prototypes. Interesting IoT application examples, machine learning and the monetization of data were among the topics discussed.
The event, which took place at the end of October, was worth the trip to Cologne. With contributions from politicians, information and communication technology pioneers, business personalities and the board of Deutsche Telekom, an interesting, mostly captivating event was offered at which quite innovative and clever solution providers presented their visions, concepts and products. With much enthusiasm it was explained why 5G will become the driver of new industry standards for a multitude of applications: Machines in direct exchange, campus networks for special customer needs, more efficient and transparent supply chains, predictive evaluation of vital signs, and and and.
Top-Logic, the model-centered development platform, fits exactly into these scenarios, in which the configurability of digital business models, even in real time, will be crucial for business success.
As a Registered Partner of Amazon Web Services we have Top-Logic the automated app engine in the AWS Cloud ready to use. As the first use case Top-Logic was used in the workshop last week in Munich on 15 AWS instances. These instances will be available to the workshop participants for reworking and testing until the end of 2019.
The first Top-Logic Workshop took place on November 7th and 8th in Munich, in the Highlight Towers. An dynamic group of participants gained an insight into the topic of low- and no code application development with the Top-Logic – the Automated App Engine. The two course instructors Thomas Richter and Bernhard Haumacher were allowed to pose exciting questions about this future-oriented type of model-centered application development. The participants developed an executable application within one day, without special previous knowledge of the Top-Logic Automated App Engine.
The next workshop will take place in Munich from December 3rd to 4th.

The automated app engine has been released from basic development for use in customer projects. This ushers in a paradigm shift in software engineering: application development can now take place even more on the model level. Due to this consistent model centering, graphic evaluations for model-based search queries can be used without separate assistance from the system engineer. Likewise, searching for correlations is now possible. Top-Logic Script includes new expressions for HTML macros, for integrating calculated attributes as well as for modifying model operations. The navigation has been expanded with a tile layout, and the forms are now reactive.
The main focus of the event (the “East Swiss Technology Symposium”) was the discussion on how AI methods can contribute towards increasing efficiency. One illustrative example – namely the founding of a startup – demonstrated how a relevant target group can be identified before a product is completely developed and how customers can be won. Other talks dealt with methods of using machine-derived data in order to inform future product development.
