The committee management system has been integrated into Top-Logic™ to allow for a tighter coupling of appointments, activities, and projects. Decisions made in committees are now visible in the corresponding projects. We gathered very positive feedback for the new ergonomic and graphically redesigned user interface.
A new and modern design for the PMC website was the consequence of the further development of the basic module Top-Logic™. The rearrangement of the BMW modul required substantial adaptations to guarantee the high quality standard. PMC 2.2, a reporting and controlling tool, was fed with key figures from quality management tools and linked to the component control centre. Key figures of sub-orders are now shown in the delegation target as a result of the M2-delegation.
Volkswagen ITP Genuine Parts managed successfully several projects in 2014 with Top-Logic™-based customer solution MPM-Tool. Using this application intensively, a demand for enhancements of the export functions arose, considering more strongly the needs of the key user groups project heads and controlling. The current release 1.2.0 implements their requirements.
Based on Top-Logic™ Project, Business Operation Systems enabled a solution for an end-to-end governance of platform engineering including the specific car models. This solution organizes the information exchange between the Total Vehicle Departments of Audi and VW in engineering and validation of the platform and mockups and provides a uniform management reporting for brands and enterprise.
An additional logging framework is supported by the Top-Logic™ product framework. That provides our customers with more flexibility in standardization of their IT processes. Thus our solutions contribute to a high quality standard of the provided services.
During the ProSTEP iViP Symposium 2014 in Berlin system and consultancy companies from the PLM area shall have the chance to present their work and exchange views and visions. Every year, the accompanying exhibition is a popular communication forum for the symposium attendees.
Since Top-Logic™ has been tried and tested in the Volkswagen component business segments within Germany since 2012, the development control system is now also being successfully implemented in China. The security concepts of Top-Logic™ are designed to ensure that only authorized persons can gain access to the sensitive information in component development.
Top-Logic™ is also being used for the planning and controlling of infrastructure projects, such as the new Volkswagen engine plant in Russia.
Business Operation Systems has provided a product update of Top-Logic™ Contract to FC Bayern München. Starting with the 2013 / 2014 season debit-side contracts with their negotiated fixed and optional payments will be registered in the contract management system. Invoices for these individual contracts can be generated by the system in a three-tier workflow.
With the system’s financial analysis facilities the payments can be filtered and grouped according to criteria of the individual user such as responsibility, contract party, date range, or economic criteria. This controlling information for the planning of incoming and outgoing payments and the invoice state flow directly into the economic enterprise governance.
With this product update FC Bayern München – with the support of Business Operation Systems – simplifies the filing structure of contracts and thereby the authorization management for read, write, and analysis access.
In June Business Operation Systems has started the marketing campaign for the new Top-Logic™ Contract whose functionality has been greatly extended. So far several well-known football clubs in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland have shown interest.
First talks could be arranged with German marketing and event organisations that operate world-wide. We are convinced that we are about to open up new customer markets for Top-Logic™ based solutions.
The ProjectManagementCockpit (PMC) – the integrated reporting and governance system for the car development of BMW Group – is being integrated into a system compound of operational and data management systems in the context of an integrated project. Go-live will be at the end of 2013. Since the beginning of the year Business Operation Systems has made major steps in extending and improving the methodology for developing and executing automated tests in the context of the Top-Logic™ Base-Framework. We are convinced that this fundamental technological evolution will raise the application quality despite increasing business and technical complexity.
